BBUA-DH Downhole Drilling Ultrasonic Transducers

BBUA-DH downhole drilling ultrasonic transducer with a black cylindrical body and two white leads

Ultrasonic sensing for boreholes and drilling equipment

The BBUA-DH series provides 64 kHz and 90 kHz configurations for downhole drilling measurement, borehole-wall inspection, subsurface acoustic sensing and integration into drilling equipment. The two frequencies have different beam angles and electrical characteristics.

Applications and selection

  • Measurement during downhole drilling
  • Inspection of borehole walls
  • Subsurface acoustic sensing
  • Integration into drilling equipment

Frequency, beam angle, bandwidth, electrical matching, borehole diameter, sensing distance, operating temperature and pressure should be selected as one compatible configuration for the target structure and drilling system.
