Three frequency configurations for pile and concrete inspection
The BBND-PF series provides 65 kHz, 88 kHz and 90 kHz ultrasonic transducers for pile integrity testing, internal concrete defect detection, foundation quality assessment and cross-hole ultrasonic testing.
All configurations operate from -40 to +80 °C and carry IP68 protection. Electrical and pressure parameters differ by frequency and must be selected as one complete row.
Electrical and pressure configurations
| Center frequency | Minimum impedance | Capacitance | Peak voltage | Pressure rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 65 kHz ±5% | 950 Ω ±20% | 5,250 pF ±20% at 1 kHz | Below 1,000 Vpp | Up to 10 kgf or 1 MPa |
| 88 kHz ±5% | 150 Ω ±20% | 2,000 pF ±20% at 1 kHz | Below 2,250 Vpp | Up to 10 kgf or 1 MPa |
| 90 kHz ±5% | 450 Ω ±20% | 1,900 pF ±20% at 1 kHz | Below 2,250 Vpp | Up to 5 kgf or 0.5 MPa |
Acoustic configurations
| Center frequency | Bandwidth at -3 dB | Half-power angle at -3 dB |
|---|---|---|
| 88 kHz ±5% | ±20% | 18° ±10% |
| 90 kHz ±5% | ±10% | 18° ±10% |
The housing material for the 90 kHz configuration is 304 + PI.
