BBFM-Q15K Wetted Ultrasonic Flow Measurement Transducer

BBFM-Q15K wetted ultrasonic flow transducer with large cylindrical body, bolted top plate, central port and two black handles

Low-frequency wetted sensing for liquid flow systems

The BBFM-Q15K is a 15 kHz wetted ultrasonic flow measurement transducer. Its documented applications include industrial liquid flow meters, pipe velocity measurement, water-treatment flow monitoring and embedded flow measurement modules. The stated reference range is 1500 m.

The standard specification gives a 22.8° ±10% half-power angle at -3 dB. Operating data includes -40 to +80°C, pressure up to 10 kgf or 1 MPa, and IP68 protection.

System integration considerations

The selected acoustic-field version and its pressure rating need to match the liquid path and installation. Required range, target geometry, mounting space and interface dimensions should be established before checking the exact mounting arrangement against the dimensional drawing.

Drive and receive electronics must accommodate a minimum impedance of 42 Ω ±20%, capacitance of 175 nF ±20% at 1 kHz and peak voltage below 2000 Vpp. The listed 27.15 kg ±5% weight applies to the configuration with a 20 cm cable.
