Product Overview
The BBDM-40K is a compact 40 kHz ultrasonic transducer for air-distance measurement, proximity sensing and obstacle detection. Multiple waterproof housings, sizes and beam-angle configurations are available, with transmitter, receiver and transmit/receive-compatible versions for integration into parking assistance, outdoor sensing, robotics and industrial automation systems.

The Φ18 mm and Φ25 mm configurations have a maximum ring-down time of 1.2 ms. The Φ18 mm configuration is rated IP66.

Operating Information
The product is designed for use in air and is not intended for acoustic measurement in liquids. Waterproof capability and operating temperature depend on the selected configuration. Keep the front vibrating surface free from rigid clamping during installation to preserve acoustic performance.
