Long-range sensing and electrical load matching
The BBDM-22KR25M is an air-coupled ultrasonic distance transducer with a 22 kHz center frequency and a reference range of 1.0 to 25 m. Its intended applications include large-tank level monitoring, industrial distance measurement, collision avoidance, area monitoring and long-range target detection.
A minimum impedance of 350 ohm and capacitance of 11,000 pF define an electrical load that must be considered in the transmitter and receiver design. Models with a similar acoustic range but different impedance should not be assumed to use the same drive stage.

Signal path and cable considerations
The 13-degree half-power angle must be aligned with an unobstructed path to the target. The specified 10 m cable is part of the listed assembly and should be included when evaluating signal integrity, electromagnetic interference, connector placement and mechanical routing. The 1 m lower range limit must also be reflected in the mounting height.
Information required for validation
Document the target dimensions and surface, tank internals, air temperature range, operating pressure and installation drawing. Confirm that the electronics can drive and receive the stated load without exceeding the peak-voltage limit, then validate performance in the actual vessel or monitoring area.
