BBUEM-F Fixed Ultrasonic Heating and Cooling Energy Meter

BBUEM-F fixed ultrasonic heating and cooling energy meter with clamp-on sensors

Product Overview

BBUEM-F is a fixed ultrasonic instrument for monitoring heating and cooling energy in water systems. It combines transit-time ultrasonic flow measurement with paired temperature measurement and calculates accumulated heating or cooling energy from the flow rate and the supply-return temperature difference.

Clamp-on flow transducers are installed on the outside of the pipe, reducing pipe modification and process downtime. The meter is suitable for central HVAC systems, district heating and cooling, heat-exchange stations, boiler systems, energy management, and industrial circulating-water systems.

Key Features

  • Measures flow, supply and return temperatures, and accumulated energy
  • Clamp-on flow measurement without pipe cutting
  • Two matched temperature inputs
  • Analog, pulse, relay, and digital communication outputs
  • Forward, reverse, and net flow totalization
  • Standard and extended versions for different accuracy and pipe-size requirements

Typical Applications

  • Chilled-water and cooling-water systems
  • District heating and district cooling
  • Heat-exchange stations and boiler systems
  • Building energy management
  • Industrial circulating-water and process-energy monitoring
