BBTM-CW Corrosion and Remaining-Wall Ultrasonic Thickness Probe

BBTM-CW dual-element ultrasonic probes for corrosion and remaining-wall thickness measurement

Product Overview

The BBTM-CW is designed for corrosion, erosion, and remaining-wall thickness measurement on pipes, storage tanks, pressure vessels, industrial equipment, and mechanical components. It is suitable for industrial maintenance, condition assessment, and periodic inspection, including contact measurement on rough surfaces, curved components, and near-surface regions.

Separate transmit and receive acoustic paths provide good near-surface response and help reduce noise caused by scattering in coarse-grained materials. Multiple frequency, element size, acoustic focal distance, contact-face, and connection options are available.

Key Features

  • Designed for corrosion, erosion, and remaining-wall thickness measurement

Selection Guide

Selection should consider the test material, expected wall thickness, corrosion condition, surface roughness, component curvature, available measurement space, and instrument connection. A contoured contact face can be selected for curved components, while compact or small-size configurations are suitable for restricted access and small measurement areas.
