Short-range underwater measurement at 1 MHz
The BBDM-D1M is an underwater ultrasonic transducer for ranging and depth measurement over a specified reference range of 0.10 to 3.0 m. Documented applications include underwater robot obstacle avoidance, distance measurement in tanks and water bodies, and underwater target detection.
Narrow acoustic beam
The center frequency is 1 MHz and the half-power beam angle at -3 dB is 3.0° ±10%. The beam should be aligned with the intended target and evaluated against the acoustic path, target size and surface condition.
