Medium-range distance and level sensing
The BBDM-40KR12M-B is an air ultrasonic distance transducer with a 40 kHz center frequency and a reference range of 0.5 to 12 m. Its specified half-power beam angle is 10.1 degrees at -3 dB, supporting directed measurements in tanks and vessels as well as industrial ranging installations.
With IP68 protection and an operating temperature range of -40 to +80 °C, the model is intended for tank and vessel level measurement, industrial equipment ranging, vehicle and machinery collision avoidance, and security or area monitoring.

Information needed for selection
Selection should account for the operating medium and temperature, required measuring distance or acoustic path, target size and surface condition, mounting space and interface dimensions, operating pressure, and protection requirements. The drive and receive electronics must also be matched to the transducer, with the cable and connection method defined for the installation.
