Compact sensing for short acoustic paths
The BBDM-200KR1P5M is an air-coupled ultrasonic transducer for short-range distance and presence sensing. Its 200 kHz center frequency, 0.10-1.5 m reference range and 8 g mass suit compact automation assemblies used for proximity detection, positioning, counting or level measurement.
The specified -3 dB half-power angle is 8 degrees +/-10%. This narrow field can help isolate a small target region, provided the transducer axis and target surface are aligned.

Target alignment and mounting
A narrow beam reduces off-axis coverage as well as unwanted exposure. Target size, surface angle and positional tolerance must therefore be assessed throughout the equipment’s motion envelope.
