Underwater ranging and depth measurement
The BBDM-D12K is a 12 kHz ultrasonic transducer for underwater ranging and depth measurement. Its specified reference range is 10000 m. Documented applications also include obstacle avoidance for underwater robots, distance measurement in tanks and water bodies, and underwater target detection.
Horizontal acoustic coverage
The acoustic field is horizontally omnidirectional. This radiation pattern can be considered when defining the measurement geometry, target coverage, transducer position and required acoustic path.
